Loving Spring

Capturing Spring

Capturing Spring

This was my view on my way home from church this afternoon. I caught this picture while my husband was driving, when I saw the trees blooming with white pedals I said oh my goodness it is spring.  It was so beautiful I had to take a picture.   It is officially spring this is one of my favorite seasons it is not to hot and it is not cold but it is light and airy.  When you see the flowers in bloom, the sun burns lightly upon your skin it reminds me just how bless I truly am.  To me spring is a season that is just fun and care free, it makes me happy.  So many times in life whether it was an obstacle, a disappointment or just things not lining up the way that I thought it would I couldn’t find too much to smile about.  There were times of regret, hurt and wish I could or I wish I didn’t.  There were times when I rarely smiled not even spring could make me smile.

I didn’t realize it then but through it all God was always with me and just like the seasons, time changes everything.   You see, I met Jesus in the spring maybe that is why I love it so much. Spring brought change in my life that I didn’t think was possible.  Spring brought me happiness, joy and renewed hope.  Spring brought me to Jesus and I am so glad that it did, just like the fresh buds on these trees Jesus brought freshness to me.

Remember there is no hurt that Jesus cannot heal. Just like he healed me and brought a smile upon my face, He can also heal you and make you smile again.

A day in the life

It’s been awhile

Well it has been awhile since I have made a blog post.  I have been working hard at my day job and have not had the energy to post anything, needless to say my day job keeps me busy.  Today I thought I would work on my homework assignment and do a little blogging. I made a change to the appearance of the blog, I hope you like it.

I must say that the last couple of weeks have been very challenging.  I had to deal with some issue that concern me, how I let certain things bother me and really not having the answer to fix the problem.  When you deal with people  with different personalities it is hard to know how to handle all of the issues that may surface.   But I have come to realize that some circumstances are completely out of my control.   You know I can not change people but I can change myself, so instead of worrying about things that I can not change I have decided to turn it over to the one who can.   Because God cares for us if we cast our cares upon him He would take care of us and the problem, so that is what I have decided to do, give it to God and stop worrying about things and people who I can not change.

Peace of Mind.

Starting a New Project

This morning while I was having my alone time, I began to reflect on the new project I hope to start after these classes.  I want this new project to be successful not only for me but for my family so I prayed to God for the success of the new project.  I know if He guides me and my endeavours, blessings will follow.  See nothing that I do is my doing but it is God working through me to manifest His good will in the earth.   So today I  give my hopes and the success of the new project to God and I watch him yield the increase.

“A Day in the Life of A JesusGirl”

Romans 12:1-2 “So here’s what I want you to do, God helping you: Take your everyday, ordinary life—your sleeping, eating, going-to-work, and walking-around life—and place it before God as an offering. Embracing what God does for you is the best thing you can do for him. Don’t become so well-adjusted to your culture that you fit into it without even thinking. Instead, fix your attention on God. You’ll be changed from the inside out. Readily recognize what he wants from you, and quickly respond to it. Unlike the culture around you, always dragging you down to its level of immaturity, God brings the best out of you, develops well-formed maturity in you.

Prom Season

It is almost prom season and my daughter is going to her Junior prom, she is so excited. So today we found the perfect prom dress for her she is going to look fabulous. (Proud mom moment)

The week in review

Well this past week had many challenges. You never know what the day holds some  things are just out of your control. The one thing I have learned is that no matter what challenges you face it is how you choose to handle the challenge is what dictates how your day will be.  I could have handle the obstacle negatively and been down the rest of the day but I chose to handle it in the best way possible I tried to turn a negative into a positive. See when you get angry then you choose to give that problem ownership of your day but the reality is you own your day and it is how you face it that dictates the outcome.  So today choose to be positive no matter the situation and take ownership of your day.

“In all things give thanks, this is the will of God concerning you”

Helping a Friend

Today I got a call from a young girl who I consider as one of my own children. She has had a tough time lately but things are finally turning around for her. She is starting a new job Monday, which she is excited about but she got a call from the new employer and there was a snag in human resources and it looks as though she won’t be able to start Monday as planned. She called me upset and feeling down like things can not ever go her way. Sometimes in life obstacles come our way and what looks to be bad somehow turns around and becomes great. It all depends on how you handle the situation, do you lie down in defeat and just except the no? Or do you pick yourself up and decide this will not defeat me and push forward? As I told my young friend don’t give up and believe that everything is going to be okay. A positive mind will get you to where you need to be. Fill your thoughts with good things even when what is around you is not.

Thought for today: Don’t let your current situation define your future. Dust yourself off and know that God is with you.
